A journalist since 1990, he has been editor of International Radio and TV Policy on RTP since June 2015. Journalist at RDP-RTP since 1993.
He is an integrated researcher at CEI – Centre for International Studies of ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon.
Presents on Antena1 the weekly international information program Visão Global since 2005. He was Vice-Chairman of the Deontological Council of the Journalists’ Union for the triennium 2015-2018 (February). Represents SJ on the Board of Directors of Cenjor, Centro Protocolar de Formação dos Jornalistas.
He was Antena1’s Assistant Director of Information from 2005 to 2012, a period in which, in the last two years, he accumulated functions with the coordination and presentation of the Morning Program.
First PhD in Political Science, with specialization in International Relations by ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (2017), with top marks, approved with distinction and unanimity by the jury the dissertation Yugoslavia: From Wars to European integration, Perspectives from university students in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Kosovo.
Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, New York, at the invitation of Prof. Mark Mazower, History Department (2015), having presented part of his PhD dissertation project in a public session at the Harriman Institute of the School of International and Public Affairs on 29.04.2016.
