Coordinator of the Middle East and North Africa Public Library and all the associated programming: conference cycles, courses, economic forums.

Coordinator and director of the CASA ÁRABE project, ISCTE-IUL, 2013-2018, dedicated to the study, research and dissemination of North African and Middle Eastern countries, from which the following activities stand out: Cultural and Economic Weeks, Conference Cycles, Exhibitions on politics, culture and economics in North African and Middle Eastern countries, Literature and Politics Courses dedicated to this region.

PhD in History and Culture of the Ancient Middle East, by FCSH-UNL, Master in Pre-Classical Societies of Cultures and Civilizations by FL-UL, with internships at UCLA, University of Basel and American University in Cairo, having had research grants from FCT, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and FLAD.

Author of books, chapters of books and scientific articles, the highlights are From spring to winter Arabic, Themes and Debates, Circle of Readers, 2013, and also Internationalization of the Portuguese Economy, Themes and Debates, Circle of Readers, 2017. It is currently preparing Negotiations in Distinctive Cultural Environments to be published in 2020.
