PhD and Master’s degree in Political Science from the Université de Genève, Switzerland, having obtained both degrees with the support of the Foundation for Science and Technology.
Graduated in Media Studies at the University of Lisbon.
Particularly interested in a discursive approach to socio-political phenomena and has carried out fundamental research, of a theoretical-methodological nature, in the field of International Relations, as well as applied research, on the behaviour of ideologies and political positioning.
Also works in the field of interception between the domains of Political Science and Communication, the latter being one of the areas he teaches in the International Relations Department.
Has publications in scientific magazines and newspapers with double-blind peer review indexed in networks such as Scopus and Isi, among others.
Belongs to several international scientific associations such as the European Political Science Association, the International Communication Association and the European Communication Research and Education Association (Political Communication section).
