PhD in Social Sciences from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica of São Paulo and PhD in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid. Associate Professor at the Department of Communication Sciences at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL), where he is sub-director and ERASMUS officer.
He coordinates the PhD in “Media e Sociedade no Contexto da Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa” and co-ordinates “Núcleo de Investigação em Práticas e Competências Mediáticas (NIP-C@M)”. He is an elected member of the Scientific Council and Pedagogical Council of UAL. He collaborates as a guest lecturer in the Master of “Comunicación y Cultura Digital (UAQ/México)” and in the Department of Sociology at the Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI), where he is a member of the scientific committee of the Sociology degree course.
He is a researcher at LABCOM (UBI) and collaborating researcher at OBSERVARE (UAL). He integrates the research teams of NEAMP (PUC-SP/Brazil) and Citizenship, Culture & Communication group (Vilnius Tech/Lithuania).
