Professor at the Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração de Lisboa (ISCAL) and researcher at OBSERVARE – Observatório de Relações Exteriores (UAL).

Among the various disciplines taught, it is important to highlight Environmental Law and International Protection of Human Rights, in the scope of which it already has an extensive work published – namely, five monographs and more than sixty academic documents among articles from legal or technical journals, book chapters and communications in minutes of scientific events.

PhD in Law from the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) of Lisbon in 2010, with a thesis on international hydrographic regions – oriented by Prof. Diogo Freitas do Amaral and Prof. Rui Medeiros and published in 2012 by the Gulbenkian Foundation and FCT.

Besides her academic experience as a researcher and teacher, she has worked as a lawyer in the office of the Secretary of State for the Environment and in the Holding company Águas de Portugal and since 2018 she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Water Resources Association (APRH).

Among the work carried out in the legal area, the coordination of teams and working groups for the drafting of national environmental legislation, as well as for the transposition of European Union directives, best practice books, technical manuals and contracts in the area of public supply and sanitation should be highlighted.
