PhD in International Relations, in International Politics and Conflict Resolution, from the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra (FEUC), with the thesis “Federalism as an instrument of conflict management/prevention: The cases of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the French Republic’ in 2013. Diploma in Advanced Studies in International Politics and Conflict Resolution from the same institution (2007) and a degree in History and History – Educational Training Branch (both pre-Bologna) from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra (FLUC), in 2005 and 2006 respectively.
Integrated PhD Researcher at OBSERVARE since August 2013. Researcher at the “Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales” in Madrid between October 2010 and March 2011 under the European Doctorate Enhancement in Peace and Conflict Studies. PhD Scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology.
He has participated in several national and international conferences in areas such as International Relations, Political Science and History, and topics as diverse as ethnic nationalism, federalism, regionalism, the European Union, France, the Western Balkans, the Baltic States, Poland-Lithuania, and the collective memory and cinema. He is also the author of some articles and book chapters on these same themes, as well as several reviews in academic journals.
