OPEN CLASS | SHARING ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION EXPERIENCES – YOUTH IN ACTION

29 Abr 2025 – 16:00
Auditório 1 e Online

In a world increasingly challenged by the climate emergency and environmental crises, young people play a central role in building more environmentally responsible and socially just societies.
The open class ‘Sharing Environmental Education Experiences: Youth in Action’ is a space for dialogue and the exchange of good practices, where young people, educators and social actors present themselves as agents of change and offer to reflect on the role of environmental education and youth participation in transforming policies for a healthier planet.
The ‘Let’s Take Care of the Planet’ Network stands out as an inspiring example, promoting a democratic culture and strengthening young people’s civic awareness. By encouraging their active participation in decision-making processes, this initiative empowers them to influence public policies and develop essential leadership and communication skills.
More than a debate, this meeting aims to be a tool for change, providing new approaches to cultivating environmental awareness among young people and society. Giving them a voice, listening to them and valuing their ideas is essential for rethinking the role of Environmental Education in school curricula and preparing a generation that is more aware and prepared for the environmental challenges of the present and the future.
If you want to be part of this conversation and contribute to a more environmentally responsible and socially just society, join us in sharing experiences and reflections!
We’ll be talking about European ERASMUS+ projects, cooperation initiatives in the CPLP, environmental volunteering and the Let’s Take Care of the Planet Network.
