Nathaly Shutz

Associate Professor of International Relations at the Federal University of Pampa – Santana do Livramento. Professor in the Graduate Program in International Relations at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). Visiting Professor at the Autonomous University of Lisbon (UAL – Portugal). Visiting Professor at the Postgraduate Program in International Studies at the University of the Republic (UdelaR – Uruguay). Coordinator of the Research Group on International Relations and Defense (GDIR-Unipampa) and of the African Studies Group (GEÁfrica-Unipampa). Associate Researcher at the Brazilian Center for African Studies (CEBRAFICA – UFRGS) and the Study Group on State Capacity, Security and Defense (GECAP-UFSM). Researcher at the Observatory of International Relations (OBSERVARE – UAL). Editor-in-Chief of the journal Cadernos de Relações Internacionais e Defesa. He has experience in Political Science, with an emphasis on International, Bilateral, and Multilateral Relations, focusing on Southern Africa, International Security, and International Relations Theories. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2008). He holds master’s and doctorate degrees in Political Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He is currently pursuing a postdoctoral degree at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC).
