José Manuel Félix Ribeiro
Invited Assistant Professor at Autonomous University of Lisbon (UAL),in the Departments of International Relations and Economic and Business Sciences. Integrated Researcher at the Portuguese Institute of International Relations of Nova University of Lisbon (IPRI-Nova) and Associate Researcher at OBSERVARE-UAL.
Consultant at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Nova University of Lisbon and the National Defense Institute.
He worked in the Public Administration in the Departments of Research, Foresight and Planning 1974 – 2012: Group of Basic Studies in Industrial Economics (GEBEI), 1972 – 1986; National Board for Scientific and Technological Research (JNICT), 1986 – 1994; Department of Foresight and Planning (DPP) of the Ministry of Economy from 1995 to 2006, where he was Director of Services, Deputy Director General and responsible for Foresight and International Information; Advisor in the Department of Foresight and Planning and International Relations of the Ministry of Economy, from 2007 to 2012.
Born in Lisbon in 1948, he has a degree in Economics from ISCEF and a PhD in International Relations from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
