The Council of Ministers of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), meeting in its XXVII Ordinary Meeting, in Luanda, on 3 June 2022, decided to grant the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa the category of Consultative Observer.
The attribution of the Consultative Observer Category to UAL results from an application that counted with the committed contribution of the Department of International Relations and OBSERVARE-Observatório de Relações Exteriores.
As a Consultative Observer, UAL will now cooperate with the CPLP in several areas, including information exchange, co-financing and implementation of projects, programmes and actions, among other initiatives.
This is a distinction that gives prestige to the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and, inherently, to the Department of International Relations and OBSERVARE, whose work in this area is well known and recognized.
