The Chair of Ibero-American Studies is the result of a partnership between the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) and the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL) and will be attached to the International Relations Department/OBSERVARE of the UAL, reinforcing Ibero-American Studies at this university, with a long tradition in the field of Regional Studies.
The Chair has the general objective of developing and promoting areas of knowledge, namely through the promotion of research, development and advanced training activities in subjects of mutual interest. Among its first concrete actions, the granting of 3 OEI scholarships to attend the 4th Edition of the Advanced Course in Regional Studies on Latin America, a partnership between UAL/OBSERVARE and IDN, stands out.
