Master in Political Science from the Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa (ISCTE-IUL) and Degree in International Relations from the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL).
Specialist of recognized experience and professional competence in the area of Political Science and Citizenship, under the terms of Decree-Law No. 206/2009 of 31 August 2009, by the Scientific Council of the Autonomous University of Lisbon (UAL).
Invited Assistant Professor at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL) and at the Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas (ISCSP).
He was a Professor at the Instituto Superior de Comunicação Empresarial (ISCSM).
He has held several public positions from which he stands out: Member of the Governments of António Guterres, Member of the Assembly of the Republic and of the European Parliament, General Secretary of the Socialist Party and Member of the Council of State.
