The research focused on the socio-environmental and cultural impacts on a cooperative economy of the Tikuna people, as co-researchers and interpreters of their reality, and global economic systems in the Amazonian triple frontier (Brazil-Colombia and Peru). The complexity of the subject required a mixed methodological approach, with an emphasis on qualitative methods and a constructivist epistemic foundation and complexity theory. The mixed design allows for capturing the cultural depth and demographic breadth of the phenomenon. The qualitative stage used moderate participant observation techniques and semi-structured interviews, allowing for deep immersion and knowledge production in cooperation with the communities. The academic applicability of this methodology is vast, serving as a robust model for interdisciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences.
