Professor at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa since 1992, teaching in the areas of Management and Economics.
Between 2009 and 2012, she was associated with the Strategy and Corporate Finance Research Centre, Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, with articles published in national and international journals.
Between 1989 and 2009, he held the leadership role in public administration, dedicated to the regulation and evaluation of legislation related to public organisation and local management in Portugal, participated in partnerships established with government departments in Portuguese-speaking countries, aiming at the organisation and management of public services.
Since 1989, it has participated in working groups on themes related to investment programmes, economic, social and environmental development, developed between the Central Administration, the Local Administration, public companies and other local and regional actors, in particular for the definition of sectoral development plans, namely transport, water distribution and electric power.
Regularly participates in various seminars and workshops on Public Management: planning and organisation of public services, pricing and costs of public services and auditing of public services.
Since 1990, it has advised on public finance, implementation of accounting systems, implementation of internal control management systems, organisation of services and financial auditing in various services of the Central and Local Public Administration (municipalities, associations of municipalities and the local public business sector in Portugal and S. Tomé e Príncipe).
Since 1984, he has participated in national and international conferences on administration and public management, including Portuguese representation in think tanks, modernisation, quality and innovation, and has participated in several Council of Europe committees on regional and local democracy.
Since 1980, she has been a university professor, recently in the financial areas, in particular introduction to management, financial and management accounting, control and audit, regularly participating in training plans for technicians, managers and elected representatives, in Portugal , Cape Verde , São Tomé and Príncipe and Brazil.
